The Riverboat Louis Armstrong has arrived and is the most unique and versatile music and event venue the city of New Orleans has to offer. It’s one of the largest riverboats in the region with a current licensed capacity of 2,500 passengers. The Riverboat Louis Armstrong will make it’s home at the Canal–Poydras Street dock and Mardi Gras World on the Mississippi River.

When Satchmo was in his teens (and too young to play in the music clubs in New Orleans), he would go to the Mississippi River with his trumpet, hop on one of the Streckfus Steamers as a deckhand, and scurry to sneak among the jazz musicians for a chance to play with them. The rest is history!
